I have already started preparing for the entrance exam, do I need this exam simulation?
This entrance exam simulation was prepared by our team as an addition to your preparation. For example, when preparing with the WU BBE entrance exam preparation course (bbe-exam.com), with a private tutor or by yourself, you learn the theory and get used to solving typical exam-like tasks. The exam simulation will place you in an (online) environment which will resemble the entrance exam as closely as possible and will let you evaluate your level of preparation for the entrance exam. First of all, it is a unique opportunity to try and solve a simulation of the entrance exam before the actual one. Secondly, you will understand how to manage your time on the entrance exam. Thirdly, you could determine your own strategy for maximizing your score. Last but not least, we hope that our team will be able to save a part of your nerve cells because if you will know what to expect on the entrance exam in 2024 (the exact date and time of the WU BBE online entrance exam will be announced on WU's website in good time), you will not be stressing out about it as much.
Does this entrance exam simulation consist of previous years’ tasks of the entrance exam?
NO, the tasks of the previous years’ entrance exams are NOT published by WU. And each year they create new questions anyways. THESE QUESTIONS HAVE BEEN CREATED SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS SIMULATION. THEY DO NOT REPEAT QUESTIONS FROM BBE ENTRANCE EXAMS OF PREVIOUS YEARS AND DO NOT REPEAT QUESTIONS FROM THE PREPARATION COURSE FOR THE ENTRANCE EXAM (bbe-exam.com). This exam simulation was prepared based on the official entrance exam preparation recommendations of WU, the experience of Maria (the author of the WU BBE entrance exam preparation course, it is me writing this text, hello everyone;)) taking the entrance exam and getting accepted in 2019, and the experience and feedback of my students who took and passed the entrance exam in 2020&2021&2022&2023 . Over 100 of my students are currently studying at WU BBE!
What can I additionally use during the exam simulation?
You should be aware that during the real exam you will be recorded on camera (also your microphone/sound and screen will be recorded) and if you give a reason to believe that you are cheating, then there will be consequences. During the simulation, we will not monitor/record you. So you can use your notes or google things. However, it is better if you do not use any additional materials to get the most accurate result of your skills. During the real exam, you will be able to use the online calculator and the mouse/keyboard to write/draw on the screen (this is inconvenient, but it is what it is;)). During the simulation you can either use a pen and a paper or open Paint or use the zoom conference drawing tools on the screen (to do that start a zoom conference with yourself and do a screen share). We would recommend you to go with the 2nd option so that you can experience the inconvenience of drawing on your screen and get used to it, because you will have to deal with it on the real exam. Regarding the calculator, there will be a simple online calculator in the simulation, and you can also use a physical one if you want.
Instructions and deadlines?
After purchasing the simulation, you will have access to one attempt, which you can use at any time convenient for you. We strongly recommend that you allocate 3 hours of your time and make sure nothing distracts you, just like during a real exam. Note: the real exam lasted 3 hours in 2018-2020, in 2021&2022 it was reduced to 2 hours, and in 2023 students had 2.5 hours to solve it. So if you want to challenge yourself, you could try to solve the exam simulation in 2 hours. Before starting, you will be provided with detailed instructions regarding the technical aspects.
How will the exam simulation work and how many attempts will I have?
Just like on the real entrance exam you will have one try to solve the exam simulation. During the 3 given hours you will complete math, economics, and English tasks. Immediately after you complete the exam simulation, you will see a summary of your overall score (for example, 87/100, which means 87% of the exam simulation was solved correctly). You can also see how many points you got for each question (partial points grading system). Moreover, the access to questions and answers for each question, where you will see the question, the statements, your answers to the statements, and the correct answers to them, will be available from the 1st of June 2023 until the date of the entrance exam for you to revise and analyze what you got wrong/right and why.
Which of the 2 packages should I choose?
Our team has prepared 2 offers: STANDARD: for those who just want to go through a 3-hour exam simulation, find out their result and listen to general recommendations during the (group) webinar (the exact date and time will be announced in good time to the exam simulation participants, note: WE WILL NOT SOLVE EACH QUESTION TOGETHER THERE). VIP: for those who, in addition to the standard plan, want to get personal recommendations and feedback on their result during (approx.) 90 minutes with Maria (the author of the BBE entrance exam preparation course). Once you complete the simulation please contact Maria to schedule the feedback session. The number of the VIP packages is limited.
